For weeks up here the rain has seemed never ending. Everywhere has been waterlogged. Ponds have been appearing in the fields where there never were any before. Some of the country roads have been like mini rivers. Our poor hens must have been thinking they were ducks. We had forgotten what the sun looks like.
Then, at last, this morning we woke up to clearing mist and deep blue sky. I just had to go out and take some photos. First of all, down to the loch.
Then this afternoon I went for a walk along the riverbank.
It's now just over a year since we moved up here, but I still marvel at the fact that we are lucky enough to live in such a wonderful place.
Just wish it didn't rain quite so often! (Though I am certainly grateful it's not snowing!)

Stunning photos Lynne! I love them. What beautiful scenery and you captured the mist perfectly!
Beautiful pictures what a lovely place to live, you are lucky. Will try and remember to take my camera on my walk in the morning. x
What beautiful photos, Lynne. I especially love the misty ones, they are so serene. It certainly is a beautiful spot you live in, despite the rain.
Hope you get some more sunshine to enjoy tomorrow.
Hugs Lisax
gosh time does fly, where the heck did 12 months go !!!
Thank you for sharing these beautiful photographs. Annette x
You certainly live in a beautiful place. The photos are stunning. 1 & 4 are my favourites. I love the misty colours, but something in sharp focus in the foreground is also the style I like to take.
Even in Spain we are bemoaning the amount of rain. One of my Spanish friends put on Facebook, "Ahora entiendo los ingleses". (Now I understand the English!) We are not geared up to it here, and we don't expect it in November anyway. But hopefully we will have the sun again soon, and at least the ground is the greenest I have ever seen it.
Hope you see the sunshine this week too.

Beautiful photos Lynne, thank you so much for sharing them. I love the misty mornings too, and the sunny days seem all the sweeter after days of rain. Jean x

Lynne these pictures are breathtaking. Thanks for sharing them all. I'm with Kate, I really love those misty ones. They would be gorgeous framed on a wall.
