Less is More Week 4

The Less is More Challenge is going from strength to strength and I'm loving it! Week four asks for three squares. Sounds simple, but it isn't! Not for me, anyway! The problem is knowing where to stop. You wouldn't believe the trouble I had with this one, or how many attempts went in the bin. First of all I stamped three frames, and then three different flower squares inside, but the frames didn't look right. Too heavy. I tried a different frame. Same problem. So on the next try I hand-drew some wiggly frames. Getting better. I stamped a sentiment, but the script was too heavy for the frames. So I found another sentiment (Crafty Individuals) which was more in keeping. At last, I thought! But somehow I still wasn't happy with it. I left it in disgust and went off for my tea. When I came back and looked at it again, I knew what was wrong. I put it in the bin and started again. This time I used the same flower (Inkadinkado) in each frame, and I don't know why that should have made so much difference, but this time it worked! Or, at least, I was happy with it! Couldn't be much more CAS really!

This card is just so beautiful. So fresh and so sweet. I love every thing about it. I struggled with this theme too. You have pulled it off elegantly.

It really makes me laugh how many of us throw so many trials in the bin. You are right it is not as easy as it appears.I would love the annonymous person to have a go at these challenges. I love the stamps that upi have used but, I am probably wrong I would have dropped the greeting another line and centered it. A lovely card though.
What's right, what's wrong, who knows, everyone has different idea's.

I'm so impressed that you are looking so carefully and being so critical of your endeavours in order to arrive at a satisfying creation.
I'm so glad that you are enjoying the challenges Lynne and getting to know some other entrants by visiting and leaving lots of comments.
I'm glad you were pleased in the end, I think 3 identical images works well!
See you next time!

You are right Clean and Simple does not always mean quick and easy. I really like the image and colours you chose. Your hand drawn frames link well with the fine font of your sentiment.

Know your story!!! The challenge is Less is more - but the effort isn't. Great card - well balanced - the same flower gives it continuity but the colours give it contrast - well done for trying again and again!

This is gorgeous! One thing about CAS I discover most weeks- If you do it wrong you can put backing paper over the top to make a less CAS card!!! Love your wiggly frames - beautiful!

You came up with a stunner in the end, Lynne. This is just lovely.
CAS is so much harder than filling a card with everything isn't it. I haven't taken the plunge yet, white space is a scary word!!
