Rhododendrons

Looking from my craftroom window, I can see distant splashes of bright pink rhododendrons.


They have made a glorious display this year. I wanted to represent them on a card, but didn't have a suitable image. However, I needed to look no further to find one than amongst my lovely Stampalot teamie Ruth's gorgeous digi designs. Here's how I've used it.

An easel card cut with a Nestie Blossom 3 die. The background papers are from Crafty Individuals (Book 3 - Springtime. I just love the colours in this set, and the prints are so pretty. Note to Jean and Malcolm - please don't discontinue this book!) Butterflies by Hero Arts, and sentiment by Inkylicious (from their new Hydrangea set). Watercolour pencils for colouring.

    Wow! What a gorgeous card, Lynne. I love how you coloured the rhododendron too. Your view is fabulous, and that splash of colour just adds to it. Great photo x

    oh wow this is pretty - love the papers !
    Rhododendrons always remind me of Temple Newsam Nr Leeds , they have a stunning display in the gardens

    What a view, Lynne and what a card. I've just found those CI papers in a drawer, I'd forgotten all about them. They are just beautiful aren't they and they're perfect with your flower. Love your butterflies too, it just wouldn't be a Lynne card without butterflies.

    I do envy your view Lynne it's beautiful and so is your card. Gorgeous colouring and I think that Blossom 3 die has to go to the top of my wish list. A really beautiful card altogether.
