One of the characteristics of the Gelli Plate is that it is highly unlikely you will ever get identical prints. This can be a good thing, because half the fun is not knowing what the print will come out like until you see it. However, it can be annoying when you get a really good print and know you'll never be able to repeat it!
I was playing with some Crafter's Workshop masks, one of which was the Mini Roman Letters (by Dina Wakley). This is the first print I made with it. Possibly my best Gelli print yet!
I didn't want to cover up too much of it, so all I added was some stamped clocks (Crafty Individuals), a column top (Non Sequitur) (I think it's actually Greek but I'm pretending it's Roman) a couple of gods (part of an Aspects Of Design stamp) and a printed picture (Crafty Individuals).
Think I might have to keep this card. I'll never be able to make another like it!
Wow, Lynne! That is just stunning! I know what you mean about needing to keep some. The sunflower papers I made were very hard to part with, and that was only one page from about 20!
ReplyDeleteThis is great, I love how the colour picture stands out against your fab background. I have never used a Gelli
ReplyDeletePlate but I like the prints you have been making.

I don't blame you wanting to keep this card - it is a stunner Lynne! Love the pop of colour in the centre.

This is brilliant Lynne! All the elements you have chosen compliment your fabulous background perfectly and like Jean and Maxine I love the small pop of colour from the picture. I think it's a wonderful male card so you will have to give it to Hubby and that way you've 'used' it but also kept it, if you know what I mean, lol!

This is stunning, Lynne. No wonder you don't want to part with it. I bet it's addictive, this gelli plate printing. You are certainly getting some gorgeous results.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have escaped the snow this time.

Yes, I would have kept the card too! :)

Beautiful gelli print!!
ReplyDeleteWhen you pull a print you really like, scan it so that you can print it out. You can then print it on paper or canvas and have to use over and over again!
