Essence of Spring

For week three of the Less is More Challenge, the theme is Spring. It was a doubly hard challenge for me this week, as I'm away staying with my daughter and family for the week, and the only supplies I have to work with are those in my "crafty box" (as my grandson calls it), which I keep packed with a microcosm of my stash for travelling.
It is, admittedly, quite a large box, but in comparison with my total stash, the amount it holds is extremely small! So it really was a challenge to find something in it to fit the theme.

Anyway, here's my card for the Less is More Challenge. And since it's all made from punched scraps, it will also fit Jules's Crafty Snippet challenge. (Sentiment by Inkylicious.)

I'm having a great time up in Dumfriesshire with my grandsons. They're keeping me busy, so I haven't been able to get round many blogs this week. Will try and catch up when I get home. The weather has been very grey and wet all week, apart from about an hour when the sun broke through the clouds this afternoon, but it hasn't bothered these two cool guys!

Very pretty card Lynne
Sometimes I think we have too much stuff to choose from, so it's good to have limited things. Amazing what we can create eh
The boys look uber cool!
Thanks for finding the time to join us

It's a fab card, Lynne. Hope you are having a great time. The sun broke through here too this afternoon, so we went for a stroll by the Cromford canal. Love the boys in their shades - very grown up!

What a pair of handsome guys your grandsons are Lynne and I bet you're having the best of times with them this week. Sorry your weather's not been good. It's been pretty miserable here until today and this afternoon was wonderful with brilliant sunshine and a very pleasant temperature. Even walking the dog at 6 pm was very nice.

Love your card. The colours really are the essence of Spring.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Hugs
Lesley Xx

wonderful card Lynn.. so pretty. Glad you are having a lovely time and your pic made me chuckle as my partners boys had similar sunglases on this weekend .. it was freezing cold .. and no sun to be seen... they looked like the blue's brothers lol

I'm glad you're having a great time with your family, Lynne. The weather's been a bit poor for half term hasn't it.
Your card is gorgeous and I'm impressed at how light you travel, I have a trolley and bag at the very least!!!
Safe journey home.
